Please be advised, the Local Council Unit Election day is moved to October 14, 2024 (Monday). This is to give you an ample time for your campaign activities.

Please be guided of the Campaign Guidelines.

CAMPAIGN PERIOD BEGINS TODAY! 📣

1. Every party and individual candidate may display their respective physical (hardcopy) posters to promote their campaign. For physical posters, the maximum size of their campaign poster is 45 inches in length and 33 inches in width. It is advised that candidates should use lightweight paper (i.e. cartolina and the like) rather than heavy poster board. Use only paper tape to mount your posters. Glue, heavy-duty tapes and the like are not allowed to be used as mounting materials. Tape should go diagonally across the corners of your posters. Posters should be mounted ONLY in the respective departmental Bulletin Boards;
2. Tarpaulins are allowed and the maximum size of it should not exceed in the abovementioned prescribed size of the poster. Every political party is allowed to have a maximum of 5 tarpaulins, 3 for individual candidates;
3. The use of social media (personal social media accounts, virtual platform campaigns) for campaigning is allowed. Each party will be allowed to have a campaign video with a maximum of four (4)-minute duration for their platform of governance (kindly refer to your respective LCU Advisers for guidance and specific instruction re: content);
4. Every political party is responsible for removing their campaign physical /online posters, tarpaulins when the election is over;
5. For room-to-room campaigns, permission from the faculty must be sought prior to the campaign. The maximum allowable time for campaign is 15 minutes (as per approval of the class teacher);
6. Candidates are advised to refrain from disturbing the on-going classes during the campaign period by making boisterous and unnecessary noise;
7. Every candidate must NOT give any favor to their fellow students during the campaign (candies, foods, and money);
8. Campaign flyers, brochures, and pamphlets are allowed. But these should not be mounted/posted inside the classrooms and/or in the corridors, hallways;
9. Every candidate must campaign in a positive, fair spirit. Negative campaigning is prohibited! Any personal references about your opponent, any derogatory remarks about school or any group, all types of profanity, and any inappropriate language or messages is strictly prohibited;
10. Campaign period including posting/distributing of campaign materials (online and physical campaign) begins today, October 10,, 2024 and will end on October 13, 2024 (12 Noon).
11. Failure to follow any of the guidelines stated above may be considered as ground for penalty/disqualification.
