Together for a cleaner future! On March 28, 2025, the College of Education leads the charge in the Coastal Cleanup Drive at People’s Park, Baybay, Roxas City. Let’s unite to protect our oceans and support SDG Goal 14—Life Below Water. Every action counts!

This collective effort will bring together students, faculty, and local residents to clean up our coastal areas, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable environment for all. Every piece of trash removed is a small victory for our planet, and every participant is helping to build a stronger, more environmentally-conscious community. Join us in this vital cause as we work together to safeguard our oceans and promote the importance of responsible stewardship of natural resources. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

To all March 2025 LET takers, this is the moment you’ve been working so hard for. Every late-night review, every sacrifice, and every challenge you’ve overcome has brought you here. Trust in your preparation, believe in yourself, and give it your all. Your dedication to the teaching profession is already a success in itself.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Capiz State University (CapSU) recently held its annual University Day celebration, culminating in a vibrant display of Filipino culture through the Laro ng Lahi event. The event was a resounding success, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges and organizations.

Traditional Filipino games, a nostalgic reminder of simpler times, were the heart of the celebration. Games such as kadang-kadang, sack racing, balloon popping, and tug-of-war brought laughter and friendly competition to the gymnasium. Students had the fun opportunity to relive their childhood memories while fostering teamwork and camaraderie.

The event was spearheaded by various student organizations of CapSU, including the SSC CoEd Local Sub Chapter. The collaborative effort was crucial to the event's success, bringing a vibrant celebration of Filipino culture for our beloved Capsunians and the university.

𝗖𝗼𝗘𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

The College of Education graced the dance floor with their spectacular dance performance during the Capiz State University's Cheer Dance Competition, held March 20th, 2025, at the Dadivas Gymnasium.

The event was filled with bright and electrifying performances along with the echoes of cheers from the lively crowd, proudly cheering for their esteemed departments. Among the performances, the College of Education emerged victorious, securing the top spot with their creative and well-executed routine that showcases the passion, resilience, and honor of being a future educator. Their innovative choreography, powerful stunts, and unwavering energy captivated the judges and audience, which allowed them to bag the Best in Choreography Award. CoEd's triumph is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit.

Congratulations to CoEd and all the participating departments for making this year's competition an unforgettable event!

The SSC College of Education Local Subchapter proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of the College of Education, and Dr. Cleo Jude A. The Capiz State University Main Campus - Gender and Development (GAD) office successfully concluded its symposium on Republic Act No. 7192 (Women in Nation Building Act) and Republic Act No. 11861 (Expanded Solo Parents Act) on February 24, 2025, at the Dadivas Gymnasium on the CapSU Main Campus in Roxas City. The event, part of the global 1 Billion Rising campaign, aimed to raise awareness and understanding of these crucial pieces of legislation and their impact on Filipino women and solo parents.

The symposium featured two prominent speakers: Atty. Ann Margaret P. Dy, who provided expert insights on RA 7192 and its implications for women's empowerment and participation in nation-building; and Atty. Joey B. Balatayo, who shed light on RA 11861 and its provisions for the support and protection of solo parents. Their presentations were followed by engaging open forums where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, and engage in an insightful dialogue.

On February 14, 2025, the College of Education came alive with love, kindness, and appreciation during Love in Blooms: A Valentine’s Day Celebration. This heartwarming event extended beyond romantic relationships, embracing friendships, self-love, and passion for education. Students and faculty bonded through interactive activities, both online and face-to-face, fostering inclusivity and shared experiences.

The day was filled with meaningful moments—from Especially for You, where students honored their teachers with performances and flowers, to the thrilling Scavenger Hunt that brought excitement and surprises. Meanwhile, The QuizEd Wizards: Valentine’s Day Edition tested students’ knowledge in a fun and competitive trivia challenge. Through these activities, Love in Blooms created lasting memories, strengthening the connection between students, faculty, and staff while celebrating the spirit of love in all its forms. 💖✨
