I love awesome helpers that make projects easier and so much fun! We are in the final days of our school-wide incubation chicken hatch!
π£ Josiah & Joseph came down on Day 1 to help inspect place all of our eggs before placing them into the incubator
π£ Layla helped marked down our days on the chart
π£ Beckett helped move "mini beckett" from our incubator in the display case to the brooder in Wing 3
I want to give a BIG HUGE shoutout to Scott County 4-H Poultry Club for bringing this experience to so many kids across the county! We have big plans for this program next year and are excited to work with Poultry Club to make our vision come to life!

Today during essentials, students participated in a Mental Health Day π§
π Kayla & Patience with Mountain Comprehensive Care Center had conversations and activities centered around the importance of being a peer pressure and decision making π«
π Annie with WEDCO District Health Department talked about hygiene (specifically hand washing) and how it can be connected to mental health π§Ό
π Julie and Tabatha with New Vista KY read "The Reflection in Me" & had a mirror activity πͺ
Our hope is that students take the lessons and techniques they learned today and put them into practice during their everyday lives. Ask your student to teach you about some of the lessons they learned today π
ππΎ We want to give a giant shoutout to our community partners for coming in and helping create such an impactful day for our students!

Hello Southern Stallions! It is COLD out today...but no worries, we have free coffee. Our next Stallion Coffee Chat is tomorrow at 7:00 am. You can enter at the doors near the gym. Anf, your students can come in with you. At 7:15, students can go to breakfast and we can continue to chat. We look forward to talking to you tomorrow!

Hi Stallions! Weβre excited to invite you to our upcoming community-wide meeting, which will take place before parent conferences and our parent night. Weβll open the doors early for anyone who wants to join us! Weβve revamped our meeting format to give us more time to brainstorm and really dive into some great ideas that we can put into action afterward. π Our Stallions of Service club had a VERY productive afternoon! We built bird feeders, cleaned up trash AND planted flower seeds in the empty raised garden beds! All in just one hour π€―
π We'll get our "Super Snake" (kindness rock snake) out there soon as well! Keep an eye out for a challenge for Spring Break to all of our Stallions to help add to it!

π« Have a friend or neighbor with a 25/26 Kindergarten aged kiddo? Send them over to Southern Elementary - Georgetown, KY to check our in-person Kindergarten Enrollment this week!
Come in and meet our fabulous front office crew to get to know the school a little! We even have activity packets and goodies for our future K students to take home with them!
π Children who are or will be five by August 1, 2025 can enroll for kindergarten. By registering early, parents will also receive information about upcoming special events like kindergarten camp and required kindergarten screenings and will have time to schedule needed appointments before the start of school.
