Robert Richard (“Rob”) Oliver, Jr. (age 63) of Harrodsburg, KY left this earthly life for Heaven on Sunday, October 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rob was born in Lexington, KY November 5, 1960, to Robert Richard Oliver, Sr., and Thelma Jean Penland Oliver, both of whom pre-deceased him. He was a 1979 graduate of Lafayette High School and attended the University of Kentucky.
Rob married the love of his life, Gina Gooch Oliver, on March 23, 2018.
He had two sons: Robert Tyler Oliver (Nicole) (Lexington, KY) and Ryan Andrew Bright (Julie) (Castle Pines, CO).
Rob was an entrepreneur who owned several preowned car dealerships over the years. He founded Georgetown Auto Sales over 30 years ago. Rob was held in high regard by his customers, employees, competitors, and business associates. He was passionate about the opportunities that abound in this country for business builders.
Rob was proud as his son Tyler joined him and then became a shareholder as they grew the business at Georgetown Auto Sales over the past 14 years, and he was thrilled to see his son Ryan build his software engineering business in Colorado.
Rob was an athlete. He played on youth baseball teams in Lexington and coached his sons in Little League. He loved following his son, Tyler’s, successful baseball career.
Rob also lettered in tennis at Lafayette High School where he was a team captain. He was an avid fan of UK basketball. But golf was his game, and he delighted in teaching friends and family the joy of that sport, especially his best friend, Mike Haley.
It was Rob’s love of boating, fishing, and kayaking that drew him to Herrington Lake, where he and his wife Gina, built their home. It was at his beloved lake that he spent time with family and friends, in which was re

Rachelle Schneider Long, class of 1973, passed away on March 3, 2024 after a battle with cancer. She lived in Birmingham, Alabama.
Siblings are Sherice Schneider Perras (class of 75)and Mark Schneider(class of 1979.)

True, Robert M. (Bobby), 82, husband of Beverly Hawkins True for 59 years, went to be with his lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Bobby was born on September 5, 1941 and was a lifetime Lexingtonian. His parents, Leslie M. True, Sr., Mable Harris True and Lidia Harris True preceded him in death. He was elected Fayette Circuit Court Clerk and District Clerk until his retirement in 2000 with 40 years of service. Bobby was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the KY. College of Business. He proudly served in the United States Army, a member of American Legion Post 288, served as Vice President of KY. Circuit Clerk’s Trust for Life and many committees, a KY. Colonel, former member of the Kiwanis Club and taught and was superintendent of children’s Sunday School and Bible camps in Lexington and Florida for over 20 years. He was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. Bobby loved the Lord, gardening, fishing and “Gandaddy” doted on his grandsons. Survivors other than his wife are a daughter Lisa C. Bryant; three grandsons, Andrew, Aiden and Samuel Robert Bryant; a sister, Sonia Harris White; four brothers, Eddie Harris and Rene, Glenn and Cary True. Brothers Danny, Mitchell and a sister, Carol True Creamer preceded him in death. He loved all his deputy clerks who served so faithfully. A graveside service will be 11:00AM Thursday, January 25th at the Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the UK Markey Cancer Center, 800 Rose Street, Lexington, KY 40536. The family of Mr. True invites family and friends to the Magnolia Run Clubhouse, 561 Goldon Trophy Trail, Lexington, KY 40514 for refreshments following the graveside service at the cemetery.

Dallas Lee Murphy Jr.
Funeral Time: Monday, July 3rd at 11:00AM
Dallas Lee Murphy Jr. went home to be with his Savior on June 27, 2023. He is survived by his wife Cheri Murphy, son Dallas (spouse Elisabeth Murphy), daughter Bethany Walker (spouse Tyler Walker), sister Kelley Wheeler (spouse Brian Wheeler), mother Barbara Murphy, and his nieces and nephews (Braden, Mason, Summer, and Nathan). He was proceeded in death by his father Dallas Murphy Sr. Dallas was a devoted husband, father, papaw, friend, and pastor. His love for his family and love of God were his motivation and an inspiration to anyone around him. He was looking forward to meeting his first grandchild in a few short weeks. Although Dallas will be severely missed, those who knew him know for a fact, he is now absent from the body and most certainly present with the Lord. He will forever remain the rock of the Murphy household and the foundation on which his family builds on.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, July 3, 2023, at Southern Heights Baptist Church, 3408 Clays Mill Rd., Lexington, KY with Pastor Bill Boldt officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family asks any donations to be made to the Lexington Humane society because of his passion for animals.

Mark leaves behind a wife Machelle, stepdaughter Christina, a son, Chad Lawless-O'Hare, and daughter, Amber Lawless Stuart, both graduates of Lafayette. He was a grandfather to Taylor and Ava, and a great grandfather to Auggie. He also leaves behind his HS sweetheart, and ex-wife, Claudia Singer Soper, also a ‘70 graduate of Lafafayette.
