Members also attend monthly Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers’ Club meetings. Members traveled to Churchill Downs for the Breeders' Cup World Championships in 2006 (photo at left) and in 2010. Club meetings each month highlight a leader in the racing industry. Previous speakers include Neil Howard of Lane’s End, Steve Johnson of Margaux Farm, Tom Ludt of Vinery, Tom Thornberry of Keeneland, Elliot Walden of WinStar Farm, Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron and trainer Kenny McPeek. Each fall the club hosts a handicapping seminar featuring Horse Racing Radio Network's Mike Penna. Each spring it hosts its annual Inside Horse Racing event featuring a panel of industry leaders and a silent auction benefiting a Thoroughbred charity. The panel includes about five trainers from around the country who speak about their own careers as well as changes in the industry.
