Dr. Sylvia Beyer will be retiring after 34 amazing years! She was honored by Dean John Skalbeck, College of Natural and Health Sciences and bestowed Emeritus status by her department and Chancellor Akey. We celebrated the career of Dr. Emmanuel O. Otu, the founding Dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences last night in the University Ballroom. With a long list of accomplishments over his 35 year career, he can now add Emeritus Status to his list. Members of the chemistry department proudly bestowed this upon Dr. Otu. From left to right, Dr. Gary Wood, Dr. Tsun-Mei Chang, Dr. Emmanuel Otu, Dr. Lori Allen, Dr. John Skalbeck, Dean, and Dr. Ilirian Dhimitruka. Scott Muerhoff, Senior Director of Research and Development and Distinguished Research Fellow with Abbott Diagnostics. The featured presentation, Insight and Innovation: Dr. A. Scott Muerhoff’s Journey at Abbott, will provide highlights of Dr. Muerhoff’s career in healthcare. This event is free and open to the public.
