𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇 (𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝟮)

On the second day (Feb. 16) of “𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇: 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟴 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀”, The day began with an engaging activity led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗿., 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔-𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, where participants got to know members of other chorale groups. He challenged everyone to create their own tune and find someone with a matching melody—reminding us that harmony is not just about sound, but about connection.

The morning session then focused on refining 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 (𝗮𝗿𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮 & 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼), with emphasis on vocal technique and musical expression. In the afternoon, participants dedicated a few hours to learning 𝗢𝗯𝗶 𝗔𝘆 𝗚𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘆 (𝗮𝗿𝗿. 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘆), exploring its cultural and musical depth.

The day concluded with a recital featuring various rondalla and chorale groups from Capiz, celebrating the province’s vibrant musical heritage.

We are truly honored to have learned from 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗥. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, who shared invaluable lessons on the richness of Philippine music.

The “𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇: 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟴 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀” organized by 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 (𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔) - 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 in partnership with the 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 through the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 officialy kicks off at the 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟱-𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Sharing his expertise, 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗿., 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔-𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, guides the participants through the art of chorale performance.

With the 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲 (𝗙𝗖𝗨𝗖) and various chorale groups from institutions across Capiz joining in on the First Day of the said Chorale Training-Workshop, this gathering promises to be a celebration of harmony, culture, and musical excellence.

The visiting graduate students were treated to a beautiful musical invocation by the FCUC with the song "Panginoon, Narito Ako." They were further entertained by the chorale's captivating performance of the cordilleran song, "Salidummay" (Arranged by Gerard Dela Pena).
