The ceremony was conducted with precision and discipline, showcasing the dedication and commitment of the ROTC cadets to uphold the values of patriotism, leadership, and service. Their performance reflects the discipline and dedication cultivated through the ROTC program, highlighting the values of leadership, patriotism, and unity within the university community.

Capiz State University Dayao Satellite College Reserve Officer Training Corps commenced its 9th Regular ROTC Instruction for the 2nd Semester of A.Y. 2024-2025 in 080700 MARCH 2025 (Saturday).

The Capiz State University ROTC Unit Dayao Campus recently held an extensive training session for basic cadets, encompassing a wide range of essential lectures and enhancing their military knowledge and skills. The session opened with troop formation and was further enriched by expert presentations. The cadets attended a tactical lecture on Map Reading 1, delivered by 𝗠𝗦𝗚 𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗢 𝗖 𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗢 (𝗥𝗘𝗧) 𝗣𝗔, the session focused on essential foundation for understanding and interpreting various types of maps, particularly military topographic maps, by familiarizing individuals with key elements such as scale, symbols, contour lines, grid systems, and coordinate references, enabling them to accurately determine locations, navigate diverse terrains, plan routes effectively, and enhance situational awareness, all of which are crucial for mission planning, tactical decision-making, and overall operational success in both military and civilian applications. Subsequently, 𝗣𝘃𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗔 (𝗥𝗲𝘀) led the Rope Techniques 1, provides fundamental knowledge and practical skills in handling, tying, and utilizing ropes for various military, survival, and tactical applications, emphasizing essential knots, hitches, and lashings required for secure fastening, load-bearing, and rescue operations, ensuring that cadets develop confidence and competence in executing rope-related tasks effectively in both training and real-world scenarios.

The ROTC Cadets that are enrolled in the program, as well as the ROTC Officers who directed the formation, all attended the aforementioned instruction.

The Capiz State University ROTC Unit Dayao Campus recently held an extensive training session for basic cadets in celebration of the month-long 2025 National ROTC Month with the theme, "Youth in Service, Nation in Progress: Advancing ROTC for National Security", through its instructors, advance officers, and basic cadets, honored the dedication and service of the youth to the nation's security and progress by rendering a salute, singing the National Anthem and the Laang Kawal Hymn, and demonstrating their unwavering support, which not only instills pride and motivation among the youth but also reinforces their commitment to national preparedness and security. Subsequently, The cadets attended a tactical lecture on Squad Tactical Operation, delivered by 𝗧𝗦𝗴 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘆 𝗖 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗔 (𝗥𝗲𝘁), the session focused on fundamental component in military education and leadership development, equipping cadets with essential skills in discipline, teamwork, and tactical ex*****on. As the smallest combat unit in military operations, the squad operates under structured leadership, where cadets learn to function as both team members and potential leaders in executing small-unit tactics effectively. Followed by 𝗖𝗽𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗼 𝗣𝗔 (𝗥𝗲𝘀) in led the Basic Life Support. It provides an essential component of cadet training, strengthening their role as first responders in both military and civilian settings. It enhances confidence, sharpens decision-making, and, most importantly, saves lives. Mastering these skills ensures cadets are always prepared to respond effectively in emergencies.

The Capiz State University ROTCU, Dayao Campus actively participated in a symposium organized by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region VI, in collaboration with the 6th Regional Community Defense Group and the 603rd Community Defense Center. The symposium was led by 𝗠𝗥𝗦. 𝗟𝗘𝗔 𝗦. 𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗭, the Assistant Regional Director for Production and Head Secretariat of NICA Region VI. For sharing her experiences in detail, offering valuable insights and guidance that enriched the discussion and provided participants with a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Philippine Army Commemorates 128 Years of Service, Highlights Women’s Contributions

DI**LE, ILOILO – The 6th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, led by Colonel Jonathan C Gayas, AGS (GSC) PA, joined the 301st Infantry (Bayanihan) Brigade in the AFP-Wide Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony on March 3, 2025, at Headquarters 301BDE, Camp Hernandez, Di**le, Iloilo.

The event marked the celebration of the AFP's National Women’s Month honoring the institution’s legacy of service and commitment to national security. The AFP continues to uphold its mission of defending the nation and fostering peace through professionalism and excellence.

As part of the month-long observance of Women’s Month, the ceremony highlighted the contributions of women in uniform, aligning with the theme "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas." This theme underscores the vital role of women in nation-building and their increasing participation in all sectors of society, including the military.
