โ€œJournalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of triumph, and the signs of horror are still in the air.โ€

On November 28, 2024, the dedicated student journalists from the Capiz Shell at Capiz State University Dayao Satellite College concluded their participation in the College Press Conference held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel , Iloilo Philippines.

8 Capiz Shell journalists demonstrated an unwavering commitment to achieving a positive outcome. The experience proved invaluable, providing them with a unique opportunity to enhance their skills and connect with fellow student journalists across Western Visayas.

Despite some grumbling about headaches and the need for rest during the journey โ€” โ€œ sakit na akon uloโ€, โ€œmatulog ko anay sa byaheโ€โ€” the students rose above these challenges. Their time together fostered a spirit of camaraderie, resulting in lasting bonds of friendship, sisterhood, and brotherhood in a remarkably short span.

Through this enriching experience, they have not only grown as individuals but also as a collective, ready to face the world of journalism with renewed vigor and purpose.
