The event held at CapSU Sigma was a vibrant display of school spirit, featuring exciting activities, performances, and opportunities for students to showcase their talents. Alumni and retirees also graced the occasion, adding a sense of nostalgia and connection to the university’s rich history. It was a day to celebrate not only the current CapSU community but also the generations that have contributed to its success over the years.

In accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 430, s. 1989, the 18th of March is declared as Victory Day in the islands of Panay and Romblon, including the cities of Iloilo and Roxas. This day commemorates the liberation of Panay from foreign occupation and is observed as a Special Non-Working Day in these areas.

As per existing labor laws and regulations, employers are reminded to comply with the appropriate wage payment rules applicable on special non-working holidays. Employees who report for work on this day are entitled to the corresponding holiday premium, while those who do not work shall still receive their wages in accordance with labor standards.

This observance honors the bravery and sacrifices of those who fought for freedom and serves as a reminder of our shared history and resilience as a nation.

Due to the elevated heat index all students of Capiz State University are temporarily suspended in wearing school uniform.

Effective March 17, 2025, the mandatory wearing of the school uniform is temporarily suspended in light of the high heat index currently affecting the Province of Capiz. Students are encouraged to dress in comfortable and appropriate attire during class sessions. However, it is mandatory to display your school identification card at all times while on campus.

This directive is issued in compliance with CAPSU Memorandum Order No. 25-03-0817, Series of 2025, signed by CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan on March 11, 2025.

Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Technical Laboratory, the meeting was conducted in preparation for University Day, a campus celebration, led by 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗕. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 who presides over the meeting. This meeting was attended by the 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗟𝗣 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀

During the meeting, discussions focused on event planning and the overall flow of activities. The Presiding officers assigned specific tasks to class mayors and organizations, ensuring that each group clearly understood their responsibilities for the event.

The initiative aimed to ensure preparedness for the activities organized by the Supreme Student Council and the Future Leaders of the Philippines, including all student organizations and class mayors of CAPSU Sigma.

In reference to CapSU Memorandum Order No. 25-03-0816, please be informed that on Tomorrow, March 14, 2025, students will observe a one-day mental rest day, known as Hamutaway Day. On the day preceding Hamutaway Day, faculty members are prohibited from assigning any school-related activities. This day is dedicated solely to promoting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of students. It also serves as an opportunity for students to connect with their support groups, especially during challenging times and crises.

The midterm examinations for students are fast approaching on March 10-11, 2025. For many, this is a crucial time to show what they've learned so far this semester. Students have been busy studying, reviewing notes, and preparing in hopes of doing well on these important tests.

On March 05, 2025, a collaborative effort led by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), H!News, HRMO were carried out to kick off the month with a clean and greener campus. The activity, part of the ongoing “PAGPANINLO SA KAMPUS” initiative, took place from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with multiple student organizations coming together to help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the campus grounds. 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗛𝗥𝗠𝗢 alongside 𝗛! 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼 together with their active officers in conducting the clean-up drive, fostering a sense of unity among the student body.

The involvement of these organizations and their leaders demonstrates a shared commitment to preserving the school’s natural surroundings and encouraging the campus community to take an active role in its upkeep.

This clean-up drive serves as a reminder that even small actions, such as picking up trash and reducing plastic use, can significantly impact the environment. The SSC and their partners express their heartfelt gratitude to all students who participated, and encourage everyone to continue making responsible choices.
