Mamie Grace LLC was named in honor of Mamie Grace who was born with Down syndrome. Only on this Earth for two and half months, MG created memories for a lifetime for all that knew her. MG taught us how to know joy, hardship, strength, forgiveness, understanding and most of all love. At Mamie Grace, we are determined to use her contagious spirit as a guide for helping the many families and educator
s that live or work with a special needs person. At Mamie Grace we want to give valuable time back to the parents. We do the research and they get to spend quality time with their children. As we have become more aware of disabilities in this country, the numbers keep growing. Approximately 6.5 million children ages 3 to 21 have been diagnosed with special needs, up nearly 40% in eight years, according to the U.S. Education Department. Those figures don't include children under 3, who are being identified with greater frequency. With those staggering numbers of children with special needs, we at Mamie Grace thought it was so important for us to provide information and resources for all disabilities. Mamie Grace is the only referral directory dedicated to connecting special needs families with qualified service providers available to assist them with their needs. We begin by providing profiles and monitored reviews for schools, specialists and camps that focus on the special needs community. This will allow special needs families to find on-line profiles of professionals in their area that have the expertise to help their children prosper and grow.
