Today is the day! On the second Tuesday of every April we celebrate Kansas Voter Registration Day, and this year we are celebrating the first-ever KVRD. We encourage you to go to KSVOTES.ORG and register to vote, it only takes three minutes!
As we may already know, voter registration and voting is almost exclusively a focus of the fall. This year, however, we want to remind everyone that these topics should be a year-long priority for all of us. Recent weeks have demonstrated how important it is to make voting as accessible and safe to all citizens. While we've made great strides in increasing voting rates, the fact remains that young people and traditionally underrepresented communities are still the least likely to vote.
Kansas has a strong history in fighting for the right to vote and to have all voices heard in our democracy. To prepare for our future, we must be active participants. This initiative reminds us that civic engagement never takes a day off — even in a time of crisis. Though we may be physically apart, nobody is alone in our Wildcat community, especially now. Go register to vote, encourage your peers to do the same, and celebrate the first-ever with us.

Hey Wildcats! We’ve put together a Voter Registration FAQ to help make your Kansas Voter Registration Day as easy as possible! Go to KSVOTES.ORG to get registered to vote.
We will be celebrating Kansas Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, April 14th, and we hope you’ll join us in sharing the importance of voter registration, participation, and engagement!
Today is Census Day! Voter to Voter is a great organization driven to get everybody engaged in their community-- especially right now for the Census! For all of our fellow Wildcats, whether you're physically in Manhattan right now or not, it is extremely important to be counted in our community! Take 10 minutes out of your day today, go to 2020Census.gov and fill out your Census!

It goes without saying that the past couple of weeks have been hectic. However, we will not give up on serving the students of K-State. We would like to invite everyone interested in our cause to our next Zoom meeting Monday, March 23rd, at 5:30pm. Message us for the link!

Did you know that roughly 75% of eligible K-State students are registered to vote, yet only half of them voted in the 2016 election?
Did you know that K-State’s voting rate was 36% in 2018, up 20 percentage points from the 2014 election?
In 2020, we need to get all eligible K-State students registered to vote and out to vote, and we can’t do it alone. With your help, we can build collaborations, invite all to the table, and create a community that fights for all to have their voice heard.
